We Levelled Up Online Dating For The Lockdown...
At Inner Circle, we’ve redefined what “dating event” means since we started. And now, in this crazy corona-times, we’ve taken it to the next level.
We teamed up with a London based pianist and event host, and ran an online speed dating masterclass that singles will not forget in a hurry.
We invited 40 single Brits for the opening of the “Love Lockdown Bar” to mix, mingle, and be entertained on a Thursday night. The interactive setup was made of two rooms:
The Stage
The stage was the main hangout area and where everyone arrived first. This features a livestream of our host, playing the piano and telling jokes to set the mood. With a chat option on the side, people could get comfortable with the setup and learn how the speed dating would go.
The Date Room
This was the fun part. When it was time to start, participants were randomly assigned a single to flirt with for exactly 3 minutes. Webcams on, microphones up, and maximum flirting. Then if someone was interested at the end, they could simply click a button to share their Inner Circle profile and keep the flirting going.
And on to the next round.
“Honestly I thought it was going to be really weird”, said one virtual attendee, “but it actually worked super well! Ben the host explained it really clearly, and by the end of the event I’d lined up another skype date!”.
Though we think the best review was from this single londoner:
“Honestly it just made a nice change from watching netflix”.
