While we believe in the magic of meeting in real life, right now it’s far more important to protect yourself and the people around you. Though with that said, dating app activity is at record highs, so we don’t want you feeling like you have to put your dating life on hold. Instead we’re encouraging singles to mingle online, and on Inner Circle.

Have a FaceTime date
Grab a coffee or a drink with someone, from the comfort of your own home. Find a time that works for you both and get chatting face-to-face on FaceTime, WhatsApp, Skype, or whichever video calling app you fancy! Some apps such as Houseparty even include games you can play, but the important thing is to connect.
For your second date, why not try ordering out from the same place? Bond over your favourite Deliveroo highlights or Uber Eats hidden gems, plus both services are currently taking extra precautions to keep hygiene levels up.
Set up a virtual movie night
Got Netflix/Amazon Prime/Disney+? Why not discover a new film together. Start streaming at the same time, and text as you watch. Plus, there are even some browser extensions that let you watch together with an inbuilt chat window. Get some popcorn and cola in, and show them your setup!
Play 21 Truths
Party games are perfect for when you’re stuck indoors, so use them to your advantage and learn about your date! Play Never Have I Ever, 21 Dares, or 20 Questions, bending the rules slightly to make them digital.
If any of these are new to you, look them up online. There are websites dedicated to this, and you might find one that’s perfect for the two of you. Both movie nerds? There’s a game for that.
Sketch your match
This can either be really romantic, or really ridiculous, but either way it’ll get a reaction. If they’re laughing, you’re doing something right! Get them to return the favor, or make it a competition from the get-go.
Play an online game
Your personality can really start to come out when you get competitive, and this can bring some real excitement to a chat. Play Scrabble, Connect 4 or Pictionary online. Keep score across different games and make a night of it.
