The 4 Pictures You Should Absolutely Have On Your Dating Profile

Getting the pictures right on a dating profile is make or break. Your bio is the best place to share who you are, but realistically no one is going to get that far if you’ve started with sunglasses covered face and snapchat-filter-bunny-ears.

But don’t worry. The Inner Circle is here to help.

Our mission is about getting people off their phones and on real life dates as soon as possible, and the best way to do that is by starting with a strong profile. So here are the 4 images you should make sure you have on your profile:

A Clear Picture Of Your Face

This should be an obvious one to start with but it’s surprising how often people get it wrong. People who want to date you want to know what you look like! Just have a clear picture of your face, ideally smiling, and that’s all you need to start.

IMPORTANT: If you have a filter on your face, people are less likely to match with you. If you have sunglasses covering your face, people are less likely to match with you. If your first picture is of anything where it’s not immediately obvious what your face looks like, people are less likely to match with you.

A Clear Picture Of The Rest Of You (That Ideally Isn’t A Group Picture!)

People want to have a general idea about what you look like, which starts with your face but then needs to include the rest of you. On The Inner Circle, this means ideally not a group pic unless it’s obvious which one you are, and clothes on (we’re looking at you, topless guys). Yes it’s very impressive if you go to the gym 11 times a day, but there’s a time and a place to show this off (see either picture 4, or a certain swipe based dating app…).

Something About You (Now You Can Have a Group Picture)

This is where you can show who you are, not just what you look like. With the basics out of the way, show a bit of your personality! If you’re a festival goer, share a picture of you having a good time at one. Or if you’re into the outdoors here’s the best place to show that, but that doesn’t mean upload a picture of you holding a giant dead fish. Trust us, no one wants that.

Bonus Round/Wildcard

If you desperately want to share a of you in the gym, or that full Batman costume you bought as a joke but now kind of love, this is the place. This is your chance to show that side of your personality that’s a bit more out there. But this can be a good thing or a bad thing.

If someone has tapped to your 4th picture, there’s a high chance they’re already interested. This last one can be make or break, and will be their last visual impression of you. So make it count.

Now you’ve got the tips, go out there and put it into practice! Plus as an added bonus, if you’ve taken the time to upload the right pictures you’ll speed through The Inner Circle’s profile screening! Try it for yourself by registering for the app here.
